Consumers who purchased certain recalled dry dog food products may be eligible for payment from the Mid America Pet Food class action settlement, but claims must be filed by February 5, 2026.
Who Is Eligible
The settlement covers customers who bought recalled dry dog food sold under brands such as Victor, Wayne Feeds, Eagle Mountain, Member’s Mark, Hi-Standard, and Super Premium Dog Food.
You do not need to prove your pet became ill to qualify.
Both consumers with or without receipts can file a claim, though payment amounts may differ.
How Much You Could Receive
The settlement includes a $5.5 million fund, which will be divided among approved claimants after fees and costs.
-
With proof of purchase: higher reimbursement
-
Without proof: capped payment per household
-
Documented pet injury claims: may qualify for payments of up to $100,000
Final payment amounts will be determined after all claims are reviewed.
How to File
Claims must be submitted online or by mail using the official settlement claim form.
All required information must be received by February 5, 2026.
If You Miss the Deadline
If you don’t file on time, you won’t receive any payment and will still be bound by the settlement, giving up the right to sue separately. Approved payments are expected to be issued several months after the claims period ends.
Bottom line: If you bought the recalled pet food, filing a claim before the February deadline is the only way to receive compensation.
